Moonlight Colony
back to projectsOverview
Moonlight Colony is a planned residential development of thirty-one homes sharing a single road layout, delivered in three phases so that an occupied house was never left beside an open trench. Enabling works, access roads, drainage, underground services and the housing itself ran as one programme under a single sequence, with each phase handed over as it closed rather than waiting on the whole estate.
The Challenges
Waterlogged ground across the site, a single-lane access track that could not carry heavy plant, and an agreed handover date with no room to move it.
The Engineering Solution
A piled foundation with raised floor levels above the flood line, a temporary haul route built and removed in two phases, and one programme manager holding all five trades to a single sequence.
